G&D’s microbrowser solutions enable you to offer your customers secure and fast access to a variety of mobile services. Because these services and applications are server-based and do not permanently reside on the SIM, they are easier for you to control and to manage, and card memory is not a determining factor. Dynamically downloading application code from the Internet to the card gives you the ability to create more interactive and flexible services which can be frequently updated on demand, even on cards already in the field.
G&D’s microbrowsers feature three different and standardized browser technologies:
STARSIM® browser
The STARSIM browser is based on a high-level standardized security concept, thus making it an excellent platform for m-finance and m-commerce services.
It is based on SmartTrust WIB and the necessary Wireless Internet Gateway (WIG)is supplied by SmartTrust.

STARS@T browser
G&D’s STARS@T browser enables access to Internet-based content using existing SAT-enabled handsets. SIMalliance™ technology guarantees operators the advantage of being able to choose different vendors for SIM cards and gateways.

Compliance with S@T™ specifications offers interoperability and compatibility between S@T™-enabled SIMs and S@T™ gateways, regardless of supplier.

Since WAP™ and S@T™ both use XML-based content, STARS@T browser offers operators the possibility of reusing existing services
USAT Interpreter
3GPP™ is an open international standardization organization that has defined a solution for both 2G/2.5G and 3GSM technologies. G&D’s USAT interpreter is optimized to work on G&D’s STARSIM product line for 2G/2.5G and on the UniverSIM which is based on UICC.
