In the high-speed processing market, the BPS 1000 from G&D, with well over 900
systems sold, is the undisputed global market leader. This system continues the
success of the ISS 300 that has been sold widely around the world for over 20
years.
The numerous variations of the BPS 1000 for commercial banks, cash-in-transit
companies and casinos, with up to 20 stackers, offer our customers a high degree
of flexibility and ideal configurability.
The BPS 1000 variation for casinos addresses the problem of processing currency,
together with bar coded items. Casinos in the US, Canada and other regions of
the world use bar-coded items commonly referred to as “cashout” or “jackpot”
tickets to pay out player winnings at the slot machine. In addition to currency,
casinos process as many as 100,000 of these items per day. For processing on the
BPS, G&D was able to specify a bar-code scanner that was interfaced to BPS 1000
(and the BPS 500). With this solution tailored to the customer’s needs, G&D has
successfully installed more than 100 BPS 1000s and BPS 500s in casinos
throughout the continental United States, Canada and other regions of the world,
since the first BPS 1000 with a bar coded item reader was installed at a
customer site in Atlantic City, in 1998.
Automatic banding and online bundling make banknote processing extremely
efficient and secure.
For sorting banknotes for ATMs, the large delivery module (LDM) makes it
possible to stack up to 2 loads of 2,000 banknotes and securely remove them
using interchangeable cartridges.
