STARSIM Copier

The STARSIM Copier is an easy-to-use backup and restore device for SIM card phonebooks. A SIM phonebook can be stored and restored in a few seconds. G&D offers three different versions of STARSIM Copier to back up the phonebook and short messages, or to even display and manage stored entries:

• STARSIM Copier Phonebook: Back up / restore of your phone numbers
• STARSIM Copier Personal Data: Back up / restore of your phone numbers and SMS
• STARSIM Copier Database: Real data base with backup / restore, edit, search and delete

The phonebook management tools are PC-based applications with a comprehensive and intuitive graphical user interface to manage the phonebook content of a SIM or USIM card via a card reader. The tools are an ideal solution to copy a phonebook from one SIM card to another. Phonebook entries can be easily created, edited, deleted, imported, and exported.

G&D offers two versions of the Phonebook Management Tool:

• STARSIM Phonebook Manager: Manage your 2G SIM entries
• UniverSIM Phonebook Manager: Manage and synchronise your 3G phonebook with MS Outlook or Lotus Notes

UniverSIM Analyser

UniverSIM Analyser is a professional (U)SIM card management tool that consists of PC software in combination with a smart card reader. It is designed for the point of sale and as such is easy to operate and self-explanatory. UniverSIM Analyser combines the most important (U)SIM support functions in one tool:

UniverSIM Master

The UniverSIM Master is an innovative and powerful editing tool that allows you to read, modify, and download any accessible elementary file (EF) to your SIMs and USIMs. The UniverSIM Master supports all types of (U)SIM cards – no matter if they are GSM SIMs, 3G USIMs, or 3G/GSM combined cards. Irrelevant of the operating system being native or Java Card™. Assuming the cards comply with the relevant standards, the usage of the UniverSIM Master is independent of the card manufacturer.

Profiler Customer Edition (CE)

Profiler Customer Edition (CE) is a sophisticated (U)SIM tool. Defining the electrical profile of a (U)SIM has become increasingly complex. New features like the extended phonebook of a USIM and enhanced services like MMS provisioning data result in a file system with numerous elementary files (EFs). Defining a specification (profile) of the desired (U)SIM is extremely difficult in a standard PC-based Microsoft Office application like Microsoft Word. A combined SIM/USIM profile accumulates 120 to 160 EFs. G&D’s Profiler CE offers all advanced features to simplify this task.

Profiler CE is the complete (U)SIM definition suite and does not only generate machine-readable files, but also offers easy to understand information in a comprehensible format.

Java™ Mobile Application Designer (JMAD)

JMAD is a CASE tool for GSM and UMTS applications allowing the development of Java™-based services. The graphical user interface with a set of predefined commands provides an easy way to tie up Java™-based applications. With JMAD , you have the perfect tool for fast prototyping of Java™ applets, testing them with the integrated G&D Mobile Equipment Simulator (MES) and to download the applet to a Java™ card.

UniverSIM Developer Suite

The UniverSIM Developer Suite is G&D’s highly sophisticated Java Card™ application development tool that can be used for all (U)SIM Java Card™ products and is fully compliant with the latest Java Card™ 2.2 standard and the already established Java Card™ 2.1.1. The UniverSIM Developer Suite allows users to easily develop, compile, simulate, test, and debug Java Card™ applets and Java Card™-based SIM Toolkit applets.

JLoad

JLoad is G&D's powerful state of the art G&D Java Card™ loader. Simplicity and flexibility are the major characteristics of this tool. Standard 2G and 3G Java™ cards compliant to OP 2.0.1’/2.1 and 3GPP 23.048 can be used with JLoad to download, install, configure and delete Java Card™ applications. Both Java Card™ experts and standard users can work with JLoad in an easy to use manner. While experts may use JLoad advance, which provides a maximum of flexibility and keeps simplicity on the user interface level, the ”light” version is specially designed for standard users to enable a three step applet download or deletion process respectively.
